As a parent organization representing a diverse array of San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD) families and beyond, from every walk of life throughout San Francisco, SF Parent Action believes in the vital importance of the S.F. Board of Education ("BOE") to govern and lead effectively on behalf of San Francisco's 50,000 students. 

To improve the functioning of our local school board and public schools, SF Parent Action runs three major activities:

1. Parent leadership and education workshops, like Pathways to Parent Leadership and BOE 101, to introduce parents to local education systems and leadership opportunities.
2. Parent and teacher leadership training through our selective Board Bootcamp program, developing the skills necessary to serve in leadership roles that make a difference for our students and schools.
3. Board of Education candidate endorsements through a grassroots parent endorsement process.
