Board of Ed Fellowship Graduation Party with Mayor London Breed

On May 24, 2023, nine public school parent leaders graduated from SF Parent Action's inaugural Board of Education Bootcamp Fellowship program. The 5-session program brought in expert speakers on public education as well as public education leaders and elected officials (former and current) to train these parents on what it's like to serve on the School Board, what makes an effective commissioner, how to ensure equitable and excellent public schools, and the basics of running for office in S.F. We celebrated this important milestone with Mayor London Breed and other elected officials from the SF Board of Supervisors and Board of Education. Many families, educators, and supporters came out to celebrate and show their support.
